Mezcal: Mexico in a Bottle

SOLD OUT - San Diego — March 11, 2018

Mexico in a Bottle is thrilled to be coming to San Diego for the first time on March 11th. We will have an incredible selection of mezcals, raicillas, tequilas, Mexican craft beers, Mexican wines, bites from local restaurants, and great cocktails from local bars. This being Mexico in a Bottle, you can also expect a  few surprises.

We’re really excited to be hosted by Bread and Salt on the edge of Barrio Logan. The space is amazing, the neighborhood is amazing, and the entire scene in San Diego is more than ready for Mexico in a Bottle. Just read Susan’s blog post on her scouting visit there for what excites us. We will also be offering some separate features that take advantage of the geography. More on that later.

What’s Mexico in a Bottle? It’s the biggest agave spirits tasting in the United States but it’s also a celebration of Mexican culture. We’ve been going strong for four years now starting in San Francisco. Just watch our video on our home page to get an idea of what you should expect.

We are very excited to be working with Let’s Go Clandestino on a special pre-Mexico in a Bottle behind-the-scenes tour of Tijuana’s vibrant beer, wine and food scene. Check out the weekend package in the tickets section for a deal on both the event and tour. Spend Saturday touring and tasting in TJ and Sunday at Mexico in a Bottle! Round trip transportation from San Diego included.

What is it?

Mezcal: Mexico in a Bottle is the biggest mezcal tasting in the United States. Curated by the Mezcalistas, Susan Coss and Max Garrone, it is our annual tasting and celebration of mezcal culture. We combine music, art, food, and that divine elixir – MEZCAL – in an experience like no other. Your ticket gets you tastes from more than 15 brands, bites, cocktail sips from local bars and restaurants, handcrafted artisan goods (for purchase) in our tiendita, great music, and fun. Plus, luminaries from across the mezcal world will offer fantastic insights into what you’re tasting as part of our informal chats program.
